Abstract
The abuse and illicit trafficking of narcotics today is a big problem both nationally and internationally. Drug abuse and illicit trafficking have proven to have damaged the future of a nation in any country, damaged human character, damaged physical and public health, and in the long term had great potential to interfere with the competitiveness and progress of a nation. Due to the large impact of the damage, the illicit drug trafficking is classified as an extraordinary crime and a serious one. Moreover, illicit drug trafficking is transnational and organized so that it becomes a real threat that requires serious and urgent treatment. Based on this research, the results show that the National Narcotics Agency of Kuantan Singingi Regency has implemented its authority in the Prevention and Eradication of Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking (P4GN) in both the prevention and community empowerment section, the eradication section and the rehabilitation section, although it has not yet fully achieved the goal of reducing the number of abuses. narcotics in Kuantan Singingi Regency.
