Abstract

Umrah is one of the most noble worships, and an attempted self-approach to Allah. With it Allah lifts up the ranks of his servants. Mandiri Sharia Banking issues savings-based umroh financing products, this umrah financing product is a short-term financing product that can be used to facility the travel costs of umrah prospective jama'ah umrah. With this umroh financing in BSM is expected to help and facilitate the intentions of people who want to visit the holy land to perform umroh worship.

This research aims to find out the interests and factors that cause the people’s kampung baru sentajo to be interested and not interested in savings-based umroh financing products at BSM Branch of Teluk Kuantan. The population in this study was a kampung baru sentajo taken from the number of jobs of farmers, traders and civil servants which numbered 1,253 people and only taken 43 people as a sample. Sampling techniques by way of slovin formula. The data retrieval techniques used are observation, interview, questionnaire,and documentation. The data is descriptively analyzed qualitatively.

The results showed that The Interest of Kampung Baru Sentajo towards Savings-Based Umroh Financing Products of the Mandiri Sharia Banking Branch of the Teluk Kuantan was in the low category as indicated by the number 18,60%. The factor that causes people to be interested in planning to take umrah savings based on savings are easy requirements, good service, fast financing procedures, unclear information. while the factor that causes people to not be interested in taking umrah savings based on savings are economic conditions, do not understand independent islamic Banking financing procedures, have never received information, lack of socialization
