PERAN BADAN AMIL ZAKAT NASIONAL KABUPATEN KUANTAN SINGINGI TERHADAP PERKEMBANGAN USAHA MIKRO MUSTAHIK DI KECAMATAN KUANTAN TENGAH MELALUI PROGRAM USAHA EKONOMI PRODUKTIF (UEP)

Abstract

Zakat is a property that must be issued by a Muslim or business entity to be given to those who are entitled to receive it in accordance with Islamic law. Linguistically, zakat also means to grow, develop and increase. With zakat, the community will be protected from the disaster of poverty, physical and mental weakness. Micro business is a business unit that has a maximum asset value of Rp. 50 million, or with annual sales of a maximum of Rp. 300 million.

This study aims to determine the role of BAZNAS in Kuantan Singingi Regency on the development of Mustahik Micro Enterprises. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative research. The data in this study used primary data and secondary data using direct data collection techniques through interviews.

The sample in this study was Mustahik who received zakat funds at BAZNAS, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The method used in this research is observation, interview, and documentation.

The results showed that almost all mustahik's economic conditions after receiving zakat funds from BAZNAS Kuantan Singingi Regency improved, some even experienced progress and only 2 people had sufficient economic conditions. So the distribution of assistance in the Productive Economic Enterprises (UEP) program in the micro business sector from BAZNAS, Kuantan Singingi district can be said to have a positive impact on the development of Mustahik Micro Enterprises.
