Abstract

This research focuses on implementing the role of the community in helping to eradicate narcotics crime in kuantan singingi district. The type and nature of research used in this research is a normative juridical approach. Data analysis in carrying out this research used qualitative analysis and then the author drew conclusions deductive. The formulation of the problem raised was (1) What is the role of society in helping to eradicate narcotics crime? (2) What are the factors inhibiting the role of the community in helping to eradicate narcotics crimes? Dara sources are secondary and primary data.data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The data processing technique is carried out qualitatively, namely by reviewing the data and facts produced or in other words, namely describing the data and sentences that are arranged in detail, systematically and analytically. The results of the research show that the role of the community is in helping to eradicate narcotics crimes in kuantan singingi regency. With a sociological approach used by the community in eradicating narcotics crime in kuantan singingi regency as well as steps such as prevention, action, guidance, treatmen and rehabilitation. Apart from that, the community experiences obstacles such as a lack of knowledge about the types of narcotics and a lack of public interest in attending outreach about the dangers of narcotics and eradicating narcotics crime in kuantan singingi regency. From this research, it is hoped that the community will be active in helping to eradicate narcotics crime in kuantan singingi regency by collaborating with the national narcotics agency of kuantan singingi regency so thaht the eradication of narcotics can be realized as we all want.
