Peran Profesionalisme Guru Dalam Meningkatakan Kualitas Pendidikan Di Indonesia

Abstract

This research examines the professionalism of teachers in Indonesia and their contribution to improving the quality of national education. Teachers as the main element in formal education require competencies that include pedagogical, personal, social and professional in order to create an optimal learning process. The government supports the development of this professionalism through certification policies, training and pre-service teacher professional education programs (PPG). This research uses a descriptive qualitative method based on literature review to analyze various government efforts and the challenges faced by teachers in implementing professionalism. The research results show that even though there are obstacles such as welfare and infrastructure, increasing teacher competence plays a very important role in improving the quality of education. Therefore, ongoing support for teacher professional development is essential.
