This research aims to explore the extent to which the fundamental values of the Qur'an and Sunnah are still alive in the practice of life in today's Muslim society, and how revitalizing these values can strengthen the foundation of Islamic civilization. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive approach with the method of literature study and content analysis of contemporary tafsir works as well as selected hadith texts related to social and ethical values. In addition, observations were made of public discourse and socio-religious programs in several Muslim communities. The results show that although there is awareness of the importance of Qur'anic and Prophetic values, the implementation of these teachings is often hampered by secularization of values, commercialization of religion, and the lack of contextual approaches in Islamic education. However, there are various positive initiatives, such as the Qur'anic community movement, education based on prophetic morals, and digital media-based da'wah programs that have great potential for revitalization efforts. This study concludes that revitalizing the teachings of the Qur'an and Sunnah requires a synergy between a deep understanding of the text and a contextual approach that is responsive to social dynamics. Recommendations are given for educators, da'i, and policy makers to make prophetic values the basis of sustainable social transformation.

Keywords: Al-Qur’an, Sunnah, Revitalisasi, Masyarakat Muslim, Kontemporer.
Miftah Ulya Lailan Rafiqah Moh Bakir Nur Hasanah Nurliana Nurliana Copyright (c) 2025-08-28 2025-08-28 3 1 1 8 10.36378/internationalconferenceuniks.v3i1.4537 Waqf Development and Management: A Systematic Literature Review of Best Practices, Challenges, and Strategies https://ejournal.uniks.ac.id/index.php/InternationalConferenceUNIKS/article/view/4796
Waqf development aims to advance social well-being and charitable activities in Islamic communities. Effective management in planning, developing, and administering waqf assets and funds is crucial for their optimal utilization, as mandated by Shari'ah and the founder's conditions. However, several issues impede the realization of waqf's full potential. Therefore, this systematic literature review (SLR) of 50 articles aims to examine the best practices, challenges, and strategies relevant to waqf development and management. The SLR procedure included formulating research questions, defining inclusion criteria, developing a search strategy, and evaluating the findings from research published between 2015 and 2024. The study utilized four databases (ScienceDirect, IEEE, Emerald Insight, and Google Scholar) and employed Google Notebook LM, an AI tool, to systematically conduct queries. The findings indicate that management is the central challenge to waqf development. Key challenges identified are insufficient financial resources, limited human resource expertise, inconsistent regulatory frameworks, a lack of transparency, low public awareness, inadequate technology adoption, and the rigidity of donor conditions. To counter these issues, practical strategies can be implemented, including improving legal and regulatory frameworks, enhancing good governance and sustainable funding, developing human capital, and boosting public engagement and literacy on waqf.
Siti Mazwin Kamaruddin Salbiah Mokhtar Norainah Abdul Rahman Kamariah Abdullah Arina Rahmat Azila Ahmad Sarkawi Azra Rahmat Copyright (c) 2025 Siti Mazwin Kamaruddin, Salbiah Mokhtar, Norainah Abdul Rahman, Kamariah Abdullah, Arina Rahmat, Azila Ahmad Sarkawi , Azra Rahmat http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-08-28 2025-08-28 3 1 9 15 10.36378/internationalconferenceuniks.v3i1.4796 De-Ideologization of Baitul Maal Rasulullah From Social Financial Institution to Financial Business Institution https://ejournal.uniks.ac.id/index.php/InternationalConferenceUNIKS/article/view/4812
This research critically analyzes the phenomenon of de-ideologization in Baitul Maal wat-Tamwil (BMT) in Indonesia. Starting from the ideal of Baitul Maal Rasulullah SAW as a socio-religious financial institution based on the destruction of riba and the proliferation of sadaqa (QS. Al-Baqarah [2]: 276), BMT now tends to transform into a microfinance business entity. The shift in BMT's orientation towards profitability, practices perceived by the public as deviating from Islamic socio-financial principles, as well as conditions of stunted growth and minimal national contribution, are strong indicators of this de-ideologization. This impacts public trust and distances BMT from the Qur'anic ideology brought by Rasulullah. These findings emphasize the urgency of revitalizing the ideology of Baitul Maal in BMT operations to restore the trust of the ummah and realize a just contribution to Islamic economics.
A. Rainwater samples were collected from seven kecamatan during September 2024 and analyzed for pH, total dissolved solids (TDS), turbidity, total coliform, nitrates (NO3⁻), nitrites (NO₂⁻), hexavalent chromium (Cr6+), iron (Fe), and manganese (Mn). The results showed that the pH value in certain locations, especially Kecamatan Bukit Kapur (pH = 5.0), dropped below the neutral threshold, indicating the presence of acid rain. Some heavy metal concentrations, as well as total coliform levels, exceed generally accepted environmental reference values. These findings suggest that emissions from industrial and urban activities significantly contribute to atmospheric pollution. Rainwater quality monitoring thus provides a valuable approach to assessing the impact of air pollution in densely populated and industrial zones.
Wetri Febrina Nuryasin Abdillah Copyright (c) 2025 Wetri Febrina, Nuryasin Abdillah http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-08-28 2025-08-28 3 1 22 24 10.36378/internationalconferenceuniks.v3i1.4811 Community Perspectives on Formation of Framework to Empower Mosque and Waqf land in Revitalizing Local Town https://ejournal.uniks.ac.id/index.php/InternationalConferenceUNIKS/article/view/4810
This study explores the level of community awareness and perspectives on empowering mosque and waqf land for local town development, aligned with the Madani City Concept, which aims to revitalize towns through mosque and waqf land empowerment. The objectives are threefold: to identify factors to empower mosque and waqf land, analyze its potential in driving local economic growth, and develop a strategic framework in revitalizing local town. A total of 118 respondents were involved in a structured questionnaire survey designed to gauge public views on the significance, potential, and socio-economic implications of mosque and waqf land development. Using a quantitative approach, data analysis was conducted through descriptive statistics using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) and cross-tabulation to uncover patterns and correlations between demographic variables and awareness levels. The findings demonstrate widespread acknowledgment of the importance of mosque and waqf land in economic and social development. However, awareness levels vary across age and income groups. Crosstab analysis indicates that younger individuals (aged 18–29) show lower awareness compared to older groups, who demonstrate higher understanding and stronger support for development initiatives. Likewise, individuals with middle to high income exhibit greater awareness compared to those in lower income. Education level also played a critical role, as respondents with tertiary education were more likely to acknowledge the broader functions of waqf assets beyond religious purposes. These insights underscore the importance of targeted community engagement and educational initiatives to promote waqf development, especially among younger, lower-income, and less-educated groups. The findings offer valuable input for policymakers and stakeholders implementing inclusive urban development strategies rooted in community values and Islamic principles.
Azra Rahmat Salbiah Mokhtar Kamariah Abdullah Norainah Abdul Rahman Arina Rahmat Siti Mazwin Kamaruddin Meri Yuliani Agus Candra Copyright (c) 2025 Azra Rahmat, Salbiah Mokhtar , Kamariah Abdullah, Norainah Abdul Rahman , Arina Rahmat, Siti Mazwin Kamaruddin, Meri Yuliani, Agus Candra http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-08-28 2025-08-28 3 1 25 29 10.36378/internationalconferenceuniks.v3i1.4810 Strengthening the Sharia Economic Ecosystem Through Technology Innovation Based on Maqashid Sharia https://ejournal.uniks.ac.id/index.php/InternationalConferenceUNIKS/article/view/4807
Amid the rapid global digitalization, the Islamic economy faces an epistemic paradox: technology is advancing rapidly, yet maqāṣid as an ethical and normative framework has not fully guided the direction of its innovation. Although various digital platforms such as fintech, blockchain, and artificial intelligence have been adopted in the Islamic financial system, there is still no conceptual framework that systematically integrates maqāṣid principles into the design and implementation of technology. This absence creates an ethical void and a risk of directional disorientation in the development of the digital sharia economy ecosystem. This article aims to formulate an integrative maqāṣid-tech framework as an ethical and strategic foundation for strengthening the Islamic economy ecosystem in the era of digital innovation. With a reflective qualitative approach based on literature study, this article examines the potential synergy between maqāṣid values (protection of wealth, life, intellect, and others) and digital transformation in the context of Sharia transactions, management of zakat and waqf, and the expansion of inclusive finance. The study results show that technological innovation, if designed within the framework of maqāṣid, not only addresses the challenges of Sharia compliance but also strengthens public trust, system efficiency, and the sustainability of the Sharia economy. This article proposes the Maqāṣid-Tech Model as a transformative framework for building an Islamic economic ecosystem that is not only digitally adaptive but also deeply rooted in the values of maslahat and justice.
Landes Yuanda Delima Afriyanti Nurlaili Janati Ahda Segati Surya Tegar Widjiantoro Muhammad Thaariq Asshiiddiq Copyright (c) 2025 Landes Yuanda, Delima Afriyanti, Nurlaili Janati, Ahda Segati, Surya Tegar Widjiantoro, Muhammad Thaariq Asshiiddiq http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-08-28 2025-08-28 3 1 30 34 10.36378/internationalconferenceuniks.v3i1.4807 Identification of Fungi Causing Rubber Leaf Fall and Testing the Inhibitory Effect of Trichoderma spp. Consortium against These Fungi in vitro https://ejournal.uniks.ac.id/index.php/InternationalConferenceUNIKS/article/view/4808
Rubber (Hevea brasiliensis Muell. Arg) is a major commodity in Riau Province, but its production has declined due to various factors, including diseases. Rubber Leaf Fall Disease (RLFD), caused by Pestalotiopsis sp., is a significant disease affecting rubber, which is a relatively new concern in Indonesia. As an environmentally friendly control alternative, this study aimed to identify the causal fungus of RLFD and to test the inhibitory effect of a consortium of five Trichoderma spp. isolates against Pestalotiopsis sp. in vitro. The research employed observational methods for morphological identification of Pestalotiopsis sp. and an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) for inhibitory testing. The experimental design consisted of 24 treatments with 3 replications. Data from the inhibitory activity were analyzed using analysis of variance and Duncan's multiple range test at 5%. The results confirmed that the fungus causing RLFD is indeed Pestalotiopsis sp., and showed that the consortium of T. pseudokoningii + T. koningii and the consortium of T. koningii + T. harzianum were the most effective in inhibiting its growth in vitro, with inhibition percentages of 35.00% and 34.00%, respectively. This finding suggests that these specific Trichoderma consortia have strong potential as biological control agents against RLFD.
Yetti Elfina Mona Kartika Alfin Rizqi Copyright (c) 2025 Yetti Elfina, Mona Kartika, Alfin Rizqi http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-08-28 2025-08-28 3 1 35 46 10.36378/internationalconferenceuniks.v3i1.4808 Larval Identification and Density of Aedes spp. in Riau Province as a Dengue Vector in 2024 https://ejournal.uniks.ac.id/index.php/InternationalConferenceUNIKS/article/view/4809
Based on data from the Riau Provincial Health Office, the number of dengue fever cases in 2018-2019 increased drastically from 12 to 59.9 per 100,000 population, exceeding the target of less than 49 per 100,000 population. Larval density measurement through entomological surveys is crucial for assessing the risk of Dengue Fever transmission in an area. This descriptive observational study, with a survey design, aimed to identify and calculate the density of Aedes larvae in Pasir Kemilu Village (Indragiri Hulu Regency), Perawang Barat Village (Siak Regency), and Siak Hulu District (Kampar Regency). A total of 210 houses were sampled using the proportional stratified sampling method. The findings indicate a high risk of DHF transmission, with a House Index of 34%, a Container Index of 9%, a Breteau Index of 36%, and a Larvae-Free Rate of 66%. The container most commonly found with Aedes spp. larvae was the bucket (39%), followed by containers for leftover dispenser water (20%) and used cans (19%). This study concludes that the risk of dengue fever transmission in the surveyed areas of Riau is high, primarily due to the high density of Aedes larvae found in common household containers.
Lilly Haslinda Rina Amtarina Syafannisa Dewita Ayura Cynthia Dinara Amelia Puspita Hardianti Rukmana Cintia Tifani Copyright (c) 2025 Lilly Haslinda, Rina Amtarina, Syafannisa Dewita Ayura , Cynthia Dinara Amelia Puspita , Hardianti Rukmana, Cintia Tifani http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-08-28 2025-08-28 3 1 47 53 10.36378/internationalconferenceuniks.v3i1.4809 Islamic Ethics in Managing Forest Fires at Palm Oil and HTI Concessions in Riau https://ejournal.uniks.ac.id/index.php/InternationalConferenceUNIKS/article/view/4799
Forest and land fires in Riau Province are a recurring multidimensional crisis, rooted in the corporate practices of Industrial Plantation Forests (HTI) and oil palm in vulnerable peatlands. This disaster not only caused ecological damage and a public health crisis, but also represented profound ethical and legal challenges. This research aims to analyze the Riau forest and land fire crisis through a synthesis of three frameworks: empirical data on corporate operations, the state legal framework (PPLH Law No. 32/2009 and Job Creation Law No. 11/2020), as well as the framework of Islamic ethics represented by Maqasid al-Shari'ah and MUI Fatwa No. 86 of 2023. Using qualitative methods with juridical-normative and socio-legal approaches, this study examines primary data (laws and regulations, fatwas) and secondary data (NGO investigation reports, journal articles, satellite data). The results of the study show that forest and land fires are systematically driven by corporate business models that result in peat degradation, and are a gross violation of the five main principles of Maqasid al-Shari'ah: the protection of life (hifz al-nafs), property (hifz al-mal), religion (hifz al-din), reason (hifz al-'aql), and heredity (hifz al-nasl). It was also found that there is a weakening of the accountability framework in the Job Creation Law and ambiguity in the MUI Fatwa which has the potential to hinder the enforcement of justice. In conclusion, this study proposes an integrated environmental governance model based on Maqasid al-Shari'ah that includes the pillars of prevention, enforcement, and equitable restoration as a more holistic solution.
Bobby Ferly Siti Yulia Makkininnawa Nor Hidayah Binti Darpen Wiri Arliyusda Copyright (c) 2025 Bobby Ferly, Siti Yulia Makkininnawa, Nor Hidayah Binti Darpen , Wiri Arliyusda http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-08-28 2025-08-28 3 1 54 61 10.36378/internationalconferenceuniks.v3i1.4799 Madrasah Strategy in Facing the Challenges of Globalization and Strengthening Religious Moderation: A Literature Review https://ejournal.uniks.ac.id/index.php/InternationalConferenceUNIKS/article/view/4813
The main findings show that madrasas can face various challenges, including social, political and technological changes brought by globalization. Despite its historical role in supporting public welfare, Waqf land remains largely inactive in contemporary urban resilience strategies. A conceptual research approach is adopted, synthesizing insights from existing literature on urban resilience, Islamic philanthropic systems, and land governance. Case examples from select Muslim-majority countries are incorporated to illustrate practical relevance. The study proposes a new framework for integrating Waqf land into urban risk reduction strategies. The findings reveal that legal ambiguities, poor institutional coordination, and outdated management practices hinder effective use of Waqf land. However, strategic policy alignment and stakeholder collaboration could unlock its potential to support affordable housing, disaster recovery, green infrastructure, and social resilience. The paper concludes that Waqf land, if systematically revitalized and incorporated into urban planning frameworks, can serve as a transformative asset in building risk-resilient cities. In the context of Indonesia's dual banking system, regulatory imbalances are found between the two systems, particularly in terms of basic principles, institutional structure, and oversight and reporting mechanisms. National regulations, which tend to adopt a conventional paradigm, have not been able to fully accommodate the values of maqasid sharia in a substantial manner. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive-normative methods and library research techniques that focus on the analysis of primary and secondary legal documents such as laws, OJK regulations, DSN-MUI fatwas, and related scientific literature. The results indicate that regulatory disharmony has resulted in weak protection of maqasid principles, particularly in terms of contractual fairness, consumer protection, and differentiation of Islamic financial products. This study recommends a hybrid regulatory model based on the maqasid sharia, emphasizing collaboration between regulators and fatwa authorities to produce policies that are more inclusive, ethical, and relevant to the national economic context.
