ANALISIS PENGGUNAAN AI ( ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE) DALAM PEMBELAJARAN
Abstract
The rapid development of information and communication technology in the 21st century has brought about major changes in mindsets, lifestyles, and education systems around the world. One of the innovations that has become a milestone in the technological revolution in various sectors is artificial intelligence (AI). This study aims to examine the effect of AI use on students of the Chemistry Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Education and Science, Kuantan Singingi Islamic University, especially in the chemistry learning process. The sample in this study were chemistry education students who were selected randomly using simple random sampling techniques. The research method used was a quantitative approach, with data collection through distributing online questionnaires to students. The results showed that the majority of students had a very positive perception of the use of AI. They considered AI to facilitate access to materials, make learning more interesting, improve the quality of learning, and increase the motivation of Chemistry Education students to learn. However, some students still think that AI has not fully helped in understanding abstract chemistry materials. Some also stated that AI explanations in the form of text, sound, or video are still difficult to understand. This problem shows the need for further development of AI technology, especially in conveying information about abstract chemistry concepts. In addition, the quality of information delivery through text, audio, and video also needs to be improved. Thus, AI is expected to continue to be refined and developed as an effective learning medium for students in higher education.
