Abstract

Provision of productive zakat by BAZNAS is expected to help improve the economy of zakat mustahiq. This study aims to determine the role of productive zakat funds on mustahiq economic empowerment in BAZNAS KUANTAN SINGINGI DISTRICT. This type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative research. The data collected in this study uses observation, interview and documentation data collection techniques. In this study the authors conducted a structured interview with BAZNAS staff in Kuantan Singingi Regency and also to Mustahiq who received productive zakat. The results showed that the giving of productive zakat funds to mustahiq influenced the empowerment of mustahiq's economy. Provision of productive zakat funds can provide new business for mustahiq and affect mustahiq income.
