Abstract

This research is motivated by dissawareness of Sitorajo Kari society towards the principles Of a banking system, especially conventional banks. People are more dominant in choosing to transact at conventional banks. In fact, the majority of society of Sitorajo Kari are Muslim and should be regular customers of Islamic banks.This study aims to determine what factors influence Muslim customers of Sitorajo Kari to save money at conventional banks and the most dominant factors that affect Muslim customers of Sitorajo Kari to save money at conventional bank. The population in this study are Muslim customers whose latest education is above high school at a conventional bank located or living at Sitorajo Kari and already have a job about 175 persons. And the author just took 39 persons as the sample. Populated sampling technique by using Incidental sampling. And data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively using the percentage formula. The factors influence Muslim customers in Sitorajo Kari to save money at conventional bank are included high enough category as indicated by 48.72%. These factors include factors product, factor place, factor promotion, and factor process. The most dominant factor influencing Muslim customers of Sitorajo Kari to save money at conventional banks is the "place" factor, namely the strategic location of banking offices and many ATM facilities available in every city.
