Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of priority program needs including the problem of education through saving activities. BMT Permata Indonesia develops micro-business businesses in order to raise the degree and initial capital of community leaders based on the economic system, peace and prosperity. Therefore BMT Permata Indonesia issued a brilliant student savings product for a financial plan on the part of parents in preparing for their child's unexpected educational expenses.

This research aims to determine the procedure of bright student savings product and the implementation of the wadi'ah contract on bright student savings product at BMT Permata Indonesia Pekanbaru. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation and then analyze it through the presentation of data and making conclusions.

The results of this study indicate that the procedure for bright student savings products at BMT Permata Indonesia is to work closely with the school by using a shuttle or pick-up service that makes it easy for customers to save. It is also a marketing strategy of the BMT because BMT meets with non-customers so it becomes an opportunity to introduce its products. Whereas the implementation of the wadi'ah contract in the Shining Student Savings product at BMT Permata Indonesia is still not in accordance with the DSN MUI fatwa on the wadi'ah contract, for which no compensation is required, except in the form of voluntary giving ('athaya) from the party bank. However, BMT Permata Indonesia has promised a bonus at the beginning of the contract to bright student savings customers by getting a bonus in the form of ta'awun funds from insurance called ASYKI.
