ANALISIS PENGETAHUAN MASYARAKAT KUANTAN SINGINGI TERHADAP BANK SYARIAH INDONESIA KABUPATEN KUANTAN SINGINGI

Abstract

This research is motivated by the large number of conventional bank branch offices compared to Islamic banks, where in KuantanSingingi the majority of the community is Muslim. There are two branch offices of Bank Syariah Indonesia in KuantanSingingi, especially in TelukKuantan. Still far less than conventional bank branch offices. tstudy aims to determine the knowledge of the people of KuantanSingingi towards Bank Syariah Indonesia and the factors that influence this knowledge. The population in this study is the KuantanSingingi community, amounting to 339,943 people, using field research. The author took a sample of 44 respondents. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively using the percentage formula. The results showed that the knowledge of the people of KuantanSingingi towards Indonesian Islamic Banks was still categorized as quite good. Most people only know that Islamic banks are banks based on Islamic principles. For the products and services offered and the determination of profits based on a profit sharing system, many people do not know about it. Factors that influence people's knowledge are occupation, age, education, environment and information media.
