Abstract

Waqaf is legal act of wakif to separate and surrender part of his property to be used forever or for a certain period of time in accordance with his interests for the purposes of worship and public welfare according to sharia.

This thesis is the result of field research in Pucuk Rantau District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. Data collection methods used in this research are observation, interview and documentation methods. Then the Data collected is compiled and analyzed using the descriptive analysis method, namely the collection of data about on the management of existing land in the Pucuck Rantau District accompanied by analysis to draw conclusions.

The result of this study can be concluded that the exiting land waqaf management system in the Pucuk Rantau District is generally a tradisonal management wehere the overall land waqaf in the Pucuk Rantau District is intended for worship, where the management is good enough but there are still some management that are neglected, for example, the mosque buildingUjung Mudik which is located in the base village Pangkalan, MDA building located in the village Pangkalan,and MDA building locatedin the village Muara Tobek.
