Abstract
The background of this research is to find out how to process a criminal act of violence against children. Children are a gift as well as a mandate that has been given by Allah SWT to every parent. Various efforts were made by parents so that they could see their children grow and develop as they should. But often expectations do not match reality, either because of communication barriers or our lack of knowledge as parents about how Islam provides guidance and guidelines about treating children according to their proportions. Violence against children is all forms of physically or emotionally painful acts, sexual abuse, trafficking, neglect, exploitation that results in real or potential injury/loss to children's health, child survival, child development or child dignity, which is carried out in the context of a responsible relationship. responsibility, trust or power. The problem in this research is how do investigators step in investigating cases of children as perpetrators of criminal acts of violence against children in the jurisdiction of the Kuantan Singingi Resort Police. For this writing, the writer uses empirical sociological legal research method by means of a survey, while the nature of the research is descriptive with sampling technique using population and sample using purposive sampling method. Using data collection tools in the form of interviews and literature studies.
