Abstract

This study aims to determine the potential and constraints of the development of the Sharia Micro Capital Service Unit (ULaMM) at PT. PNM ULaMM Teluk Kuantan Branch. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data sources are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation studies. While the data analysis technique in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis.

From the results of this study it can be concluded that the potential for the development of the Sharia Micro Capital Service Unit (ULaMM) at PT. PNM ULaMM Teluk Kuantan Branch can be seen from the 9 items of strength (strengths) owned by the company's internal, namely good quality of Human Resources (HR), qualified infrastructure, PNM Digi application, availability of sufficient funds, assistance in the form of Business Capacity Development ( PKU), the existence of research, easy access to information, clear SOPs, and good corporate cultural values. In addition, there are 3 items of opportunities (opportunities) that come from the environment or external to the company, namely the low economic level of the community, the community needs financing with sharia principles and government support. Obstacles to the development of the Sharia Micro Capital Service Unit (ULaMM) at PT. PNM ULaMM Teluk Kuantan Branch can be seen from 3 items of weakness (weakness) owned by the company's internal, namely the quantity of human resources is not sufficient, product marketing has not been maximized and the submission requirements are difficult to fulfill. In addition, there are 2 threat items originating from external to the company, namely the existence of Islamic banking such as BRI Syariah, BNI Syariah and Mandiri Syariah as competitors and people's habits of using conventional financing.
