Abstract

The Village Consultative Body (BPD) as a legislative body at the Village level as well as representatives of the Village community is given full authority to implement a culture of democracy at the Village level, both in terms of oversight of the Village government and in terms of accommodating the aspirations of the Village community. The BPD is expected to be a forum for accommodating aspirations for village communities to convey their ideas or ideas. The Village Consultative Body (BPD) plays an active role in the implementation of its duties and functions. The purpose of this study was to determine the evaluation or assessment of the community towards the Village Consultative Body (BPD) in Pulau Komang Sentajo Village. Researchers found problems with the function of the Village Consultative Body in Pulau Komang Sentajo Village, one of which is in carrying out supervision of the performance of the Village Head, not maximizing in embracing, gathering, formulating and channeling community aspirations. This study aims to determine the function of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) in Pulau Komang Sentajo Village. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative, this researcher analyzes the data to obtain the validity of the data by examining all available data from various sources that have been obtained from the field using data collection methods, observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the evaluation of the village consultative body in the village of pulau komang sentajo, kuantan singingi regency for the 2014-2020 period has been quite functional
