Abstract
The percentage of female narcotics recidivists in Teluk Kuantan Class IIB Prison reached 67%. This prompted the author to investigate the factors that cause female recidivism in narcotics crimes and the rehabilitation efforts undertaken at Teluk Kuantan Class IIB Prison. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that cause female narcotics recidivists to reoffend after serving their sentences and to identify the rehabilitation efforts undertaken for female narcotics recidivists. The method used is an empirical juridical method, with a regulatory and field study approach. Data was obtained through literature study and interviews. The results of the study show that the factors that cause a person to become a recidivism are psychological factors, economic factors, family factors, and environmental factors. Efforts to rehabilitate female recidivists of narcotics crimes at the Teluk Kuantan Class IIB prison are carried out through religious guidance and independence training. The implementation of rehabilitation for female recidivists still faces various obstacles, such as prison overcapacity and limited rehabilitation facilities.
