TINJAUAN YURIDIS UPAYA PENANGGULANGAN TINDAK PIDANA KEKERASAN DALAM RUMAH TANGGA DI WILAYAH HUKUM POLRES KUANTAN SINGINGI TAHUN 2024

Abstract

Efforts to address criminal acts are various actions taken to prevent, tackle, and penalize in order to prevent crimes from occurring and causing harm to society. What are the factors that cause domestic violence crimes in Kuantan Singingi Regency? What efforts have the police made to tackle domestic violence crimes in Kuantan Singingi Regency? This research is classified as a type of sociological (empirical) legal research/observational research, which is conducted through surveys where the researcher directly observes the relationship between legal provisions and the reality on the ground, with data collection tools in the form of interviews.The efforts made by the Kuantan Singingi Police to combat domestic violence crimes consist of: First, preventive actions, which include conducting socialization and education on domestic violence, collaborating with relevant agencies or institutions, providing guidance and legal counseling, issuing public appeals, and raising public awareness. Second, repressive actions, which include arresting the perpetrator if there is sufficient initial evidence, detention, law enforcement, protection for victims, identifying and determining applicable charges, and conducting penal mediation.The factors causing domestic violence crimes in Kuantan Singingi include economic factors, family issues, parental problems, non-essential needs, lack of harmony, and infidelity.
