ANALISIS PERAN DINAS KEBUDAYAAN DAN PARIWISATA DALAM MENINGKATKAN PEREKONOMIAN MELALUI FESTIVAL PACU JALUR DITEPIAN NAROSA TELUK KUANTAN TAHUN 2024

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Department of Culture and Tourism in improving the community's economy through the implementation of the Pacu Jalur Festival in Tepian Narosa, Teluk Kuantan, in 2024. Pacu Jalur, as a traditional cultural heritage, is not only a tourist attraction but also has great potential to support local economic growth. This study uses a mixed method (qualitative and quantitative). The qualitative approach was carried out through in-depth interviews with stakeholders, such as the Department of Culture and Tourism, local business actors, and the local community, to understand the strategies implemented and their impact on the local community. The quantitative approach was carried out by analyzing economic data, such as increased community income, the number of tourist visits, and the contribution of the tourism sector to regional income during the festival. This festival has a significant impact on various aspects of the economy, social, and culture of the local community. The role of the department in facilitating, managing tourism, encouraging investment, and providing infrastructure has proven to be important and effective in supporting the sustainability of the festival and improving community welfare.
