IMPLEMENTASI PROGRAM PENGENTASAN BUTA AKSARA DI DESA PAUH ANGIT HULU KECAMATAN PANGEAN KABUPATEN KUANTAN SINGINGI.

Abstract

This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data collection technique used is a direct observation technique to Pauh Angit Hulu Village Based on the research that the author has conducted, it was temporarily found that there are several factors that affect illiteracy that occurs in Pauh Angit Hulu Village. Economic factors are the main factors that make people illiterate. Other factors are areas that are not accessible to literacy programs from the local government, social and cultural influences of the community, low motivation from the family environment, and lack of facilities and infrastructure to obtain reading resources, such as community reading gardens (TBM). Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency of Riau Province, there is still an increase in the number of illiteracy from year to year. One of them is Pauh Angit Hulu Village, Pangean District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. According to reports from various communities and observations, there are still residents there who are classified as illiterate. The result of this study is that the illiteracy alleviation program is not implemented in Pauh Angit Hulu Village, Pangean District.
