TINJAUAN YURIDIS PELAKSANAAN PEMBINAAN TERHADAP WARGA BINAAN LANISA DI LEMBAGA PEMASYARAKATAN KELAS IIB TELUK KUANTAN

Abstract

The guidance mechanism for inmates, especially elderly inmates, also applies at the Class II B Teluk Kuantan Prison. The main problems that the author describes are (1) how is the guidance for elderly inmates at Teluk Kuantan Prison? (2) what are the inhibiting factors during the guidance process? The author's research objectives are (1) to determine the guidance for elderly inmates at Teluk Kuantan Prison. Objective (2) to determine the inhibiting factors faced in the guidance of elderly inmates at Teluk Kuantan Prison. The author's research method is empirical, namely conducting interviews with inmates and officers at the prison. Elderly guidance at Teluk Kuantan Prison has been implemented such as health, personality, independence, special remissions for the elderly, and family visit services. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors in Elderly Guidance at Teluk Kuantan Prison are overcapacity, lack of human resources, limited facilities for the elderly and health services, and a lack of intensive administrative and social services.
