Abstract

This study was conducted at Puskesmas Lubuk Jambi to evaluate the implementation of the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) program in improving access to and the quality of health services. Specifically, this research aims to understand the implementation process of UHC, identify the challenges faced, and assess its impact on the accessibility and quality of health services for the community. This research employed a qualitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with key informants, and document studies related to the implementation of the UHC program. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques, including data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of UHC at Puskesmas Lubuk Jambi has had a positive impact on improving community access to health services, especially for disadvantaged groups. However, several challenges remain, such as limited facilities and infrastructure, unequal distribution of health personnel, and the need to enhance service quality. Overall, the UHC program has been beneficial in enabling the community to access health services without financial barriers, although further improvements are required to achieve optimal service quality.
