Abstract

Green spaces have important functions in ecology, socio-culture, aesthetics, and economy, which support urban life. Kuantan Singingi Regency faces serious problems related to the degradation of green spaces due to rampant development, accumulated garbage, and the use of public land for commercial purposes. This study aims to analyze the role of the Kuantan Singingi Regency Environmental Agency in managing RTH from the aspects of planning, implementation, organization, and supervision. It is qualitative research. To get the data through observation and interviews with the Environmental Agency, as well as secondary data from official documents. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of research and discussion that have been conducted regarding the Management of green open space of the Jalur Park by the Environmental Service in Kuantan Singingi Regency in general has not been fully implemented properly, there are several aspects that are reviewed, the planning aspect has been implemented properly, regarding the budgeting of operational costs for the Jalur Park if there is damage in the Jalur Park area, it will be the responsibility of the DLH to budget in the Kuansing Regional Government APBD, then also regarding the greening and maintenance of the Jalur Park area, it has also been well planned, in terms of implementation, the Environmental Service has not been optimal in maintaining the maintenance of the Jalur Park green open space and there are too many traders in the Jalur Park area and there is always a lot of garbage.
