PARTISIPASI PEDAGANG PASAR LUBUK JAMBI UNTUK MEMBAYAR ZAKAT PERDAGANGAN DI UNIT PENGUMPUL ZAKAT (UPZ) KECAMATAN KUANTAN MUDIK

Abstract

Lubuk jambi market is a market on the capital of Kuantan Mudik district. Most of the seller on the market is a local community. Type of the seller are 9 daily seller, 26 food and drink seller,  8 electronicseller and 102 another seller. From many sellers that open every day they should pay the comercial Zakat. Comercial (Tijaah) zakat is zakat which is issued for ownwrship of assets specially for buy and sell..This research is Field research in Lubuk Jambi market in  Kuantan Mudik District. The method of collecting data is observation, Interview and documentation. The data used are primer and sukunder data then analyzed using analysis of Deskriptif-Kualitatif.The Result of the research are participations of traders of  Lubuk Jambi market that pay commerial zakat at the Zakat Collection Unit (UPZ) Kuantan Mudik district are very low. From 102 traders on 2018, 45 traders pay zakat diretly, 5 traders do not pay zakat and 5 traders pay zakat at zakat colection unit (UPZ) Kuantan Mudik district.  As the factor  that cause traders to  pay zakat at UPZ Kuantan Mudik are awareness of obligations pay zakat, there is trust from Zakat Collection Unit (UPZ) to manage zakat funds in a professional manner. Yet, they do not the factor of traders not pay zakat are it has not  reached the nisab,  have enough knowledge and information about Zakat Collection Unit (UPZ), traders more like pay directly to their family that entitled to receiver this and pay zakat at the near mosque.
