Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the public perception on the leadership of the female village head could achieve the goals expected by the community. Whether the goals expected by the communityhave been achieved properly or not. Because the legitimacy of womens leadership is not recognized by society. This research was carried out in the village of Pulau Tongah, Benai district Kuantan Singingi regency, it used  the descriptive method of quality. The focus of this research was the public perception of the leadership and ability of female village head in achhieving their intended goals. The subject in this study was the community of Pulau Tongah village Benai districtKuantan Singingi regency. Data collection was done by observation, interviews and documentation. The validity of the data in this study was carried out by using triangulation techniques. Data analysis in this study includes three things : data reduction, data presentation, and discussion of research and the elaborationof each dimention of the theory used, the researcher concluded that the public perception of the leadership of the village head of women in achieving the expected goals is good.
