STARTUP HILIRISASI PENGOLAHAN JAGUNG MELALUI OPTIMALISASI PRODUK MENGGUNAKAN MESIN ROLLING TIPE AGME DI BANGSAL PASCAPANEN HORTIKULTURA KOTO TANGAH, BATUAMPA
Hilirisasi Pengolahan Jagung
Abstract
Nagari Batu Ampa merupakan salah satu sentra penghasil jagung manis di Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota yang terletak di sepanjang jalur Bukittinggi–Pekanbaru, dengan potensi pengembangan produk olahan yang cukup besar. Sebagai tindak lanjut program Kementerian Pertanian, kelompok tani Palito Hati memperoleh bantuan bangsal pascapanen hortikultura lengkap dengan peralatan produksi pada tahun 2024. Namun, keterbatasan sumber daya manusia dan pengetahuan tentang diversifikasi olahan jagung menjadi kendala utama dalam pemanfaatannya. Melalui program pengabdian kepada masyarakat, tim pelaksana bersama Dinas Pertanian dan Perkebunan Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota berinisiatif membangun startup bisnis berbasis hilirisasi pengolahan jagung secara berkelanjutan dan inovatif. Kegiatan ini meliputi penerapan teknologi tepat guna hasil riset berupa mesin Rolling tipe AgMe untuk memproduksi dua jenis produk, yaitu cheese stick jagung dan mi jagung, serta pendampingan manajemen usaha melalui penyusunan business plan sebagai panduan berwirausaha. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan mitra dalam produksi dan manajemen usaha, terbentuknya dua produk inovatif bernilai ekonomi tinggi, serta tercapainya luaran berupa berita media massa, artikel ilmiah, karya visual dan audio, serta pendaftaran Hak Kekayaan Intelektual (HKI).
