Faktor Penyebab Kenakalan Remaja dan Upaya Yang Mendorong Prestasi Serta Kegemaran Siswa di SMPN 7 Palangka Raya

Abstract

AThis study aims to analyze the factors contributing to juvenile delinquency and to identify the efforts made by students at SMPN 7 Palangka Raya to foster achievement and develop their interests. A qualitative, descriptive research approach was employed. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, involving students from grades VII, VIII, and IX, as well as guidance and counseling teachers. Data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation techniques applied to enhance data validity. The findings indicate that juvenile delinquency is influenced by internal factors—such as low self-control, suboptimal learning motivation, and emotional instability—and external factors, including weak parental supervision, peer influence, high intensity of digital media usage, and an unconducive social environment. The study underscores that synergy among the school, family, and community is crucial for creating an educational environment that supports character building and the continuous improvement of student achievement
