Abstract

Meanwhile, fraud is anyone with the intention of benefiting himself or others by fighting against rights, either by using a false name, either by reason and trickery, or by making up lies, persuading people to give goods, making debts or writing off receivables. . In committing a criminal act of fraud through electronic means, in this case the perpetrator's social media, by persuading the potential victim in a manner as if the perpetrator is a person who works as a trader, entrepreneur and the like. In the application of sanctions in fraud through social media and other electronic means, law number 11 of 2008 on electronic information and transactions is used as amended by law number 19 of 2016 concerning amendments to law number 11 of 2008, in article 28 paragraph (1)
