Implementation of an Information System for Classroom Reservation at Esa Unggul University

Abstract

Pengelolaan peminjaman ruangan secara manual di lingkungan Universitas Esa Unggul selama ini masih menghadapi berbagai kendala administratif, seperti ketidakteraturan jadwal, keterlambatan proses persetujuan, serta keterbatasan informasi ketersediaan ruangan secara real-time. Hal ini mengakibatkan turunnya efisiensi dalam pelayanan akademik dan administratif. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengimplementasikan sebuah sistem informasi berbasis web guna memfasilitasi proses peminjaman ruangan yang lebih terstruktur, transparan, dan efisien. Sistem dikembangkan menggunakan framework CodeIgniter 4 untuk sisi backend dan Bootstrap 5 beserta CSS kustom untuk antarmuka frontend. MySQL digunakan sebagai sistem manajemen basis data, sementara fitur keamanan aplikasi dilengkapi dengan autentikasi berbasis sesi, validasi input, enkripsi data, perlindungan CSRF, Honeypot, dan CloudFlare. Pengujian dilakukan dengan metode gray box testing untuk menilai keandalan struktur kode sekaligus fungsionalitas sistem dari sisi pengguna. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi mampu menangani permintaan peminjaman ruangan dengan baik, meminimalisir konflik jadwal, serta mempermudah pihak administrasi dalam memantau pemakaian ruangan secara terpusat. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam mendukung transformasi digital administrasi kampus dan dapat dijadikan acuan dalam pengembangan sistem serupa di institusi pendidikan tinggi lainnya.
