Abstract

Indonesia is a country with the highest number of three cases of trafficking in persons in the world. Women generally experience labor exploitation and sexual exploitation. Human trafficking is a modern form of human slavery. Trafficking in persons is also one of the worst forms of human rights violations. The purpose of this study was to determine the Legal Protection of Women Victims of Trafficking in Persons who experience Violence and Sexual Harassment. This study uses qualitative research methods, namely about research that is descriptive and tends to use analysis. Qualitative research was conducted using the interview method. The provisions contained in Chapter V regarding the Protection of witnesses and Victims are quite good and in accordance with the provisions of Article 43 of Law No. 21 of 2007 that in principle "Protection of victims of trafficking in persons refers to Law No. 13 of 2006 provided that it is not provided otherwise in Law No. 21 of 2007. Furthermore, Law No. 21 of 2007 concerning Eradication of Criminal Trafficking in Persons regulates the protection of witnesses and victims as an important aspect of law enforcement, which is intended to provide basic protection to victims and witnesses.
